Programs & Community Events
A collection of literary programs, workshops, readings, and collaborative creative events connected to the Write With Community community
Write With Community at the Artists Index Salon Series
As part of the Artists Index Salon Series, Write With Community gathered writers and community members for an evening of storytelling, literary conversation, and creative exchange. Midori Evans and Corey Nuffer shared the vision for fostering meaningful literary connections across the SouthCoast through workshops, readings, and collaborative creative practice.
Write With Community at AHA! Night
Write With Community partnered with AHA! Night and the New Bedford Whaling Museum to present a series of immersive literary experiences exploring poetry, storytelling, memory, and place. Through gallery-based readings and interactive creative programming, community members were invited to engage with local voices and reflect on themes of history, resilience, family, and the natural world in an open and welcoming environment.
Grant Writing Workshop
Write With Community facilitated a hands-on grant writing workshop designed to support artists, writers, and community members in developing stronger proposals for creative and community-centered projects. Led by Midori Evans and Corey Nuffer, the session explored how to shape project descriptions, identify key proposal components, and approach grant applications from the perspective of a reviewer.
Through guided discussion and hands-on exercises, participants explored how to communicate creative ideas clearly while building skills in proposal development and project planning.
Writing at Night Drop-In
This virtual writing series created space for writers to gather online for focused, community-centered creative practice. Facilitated by Corey Nuffer, the sessions encouraged reflection, accountability, and connection through shared evening writing time in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Held over several Friday evenings on Zoom, the sessions offered participants an opportunity to work on ongoing projects, journaling, and creative exploration while fostering connection and consistency through shared writing time.
