Place-Based Exploration

Write With Community brings together writers from across the SouthCoast and neighboring regions through shared creative experiences rooted in storytelling, reflection, and connection.

Community Impact.

The workshops foster strong creative connections and encourage ongoing collaboration beyond the sessions themselves. Participants share resources, discuss what they hope to find in a writing community, and explore ways to continue building creative spaces together.

As a result of the 2023 and 2024 gatherings:

  • A SouthCoast writing calendar featuring literary and writing-related events was developed.

  • Local writing groups began collaborating on future workshops and community programming.

  • Participants became involved in additional creative planning initiatives across the region.

  • Writers were inspired to begin or deepen personal creative projects, including participation in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and community write-ins.
