Your writing deserves to be heard — and so does your voice.

From Page to Voice

Do you love writing but get nervous when asked to read your work?

When it’s time to read your writing aloud – at an open mic, a book launch, or as part of a reading series – do you feel completely unprepared? Are you, like so many people, not at your best when in front of a live audience?

Successful writers are successful readers – and that means having a toolbox of public speaking skills that you can tap into.

This is a fun and interactive experiential learning opportunity. You’ll practice with your voice, your audience engagement, and your stage presence. Your words will be transformed!

Whether you've never read your work aloud or you've done it a dozen times and still feel like something's off, this workshop meets you where you are.

What you'll walk away with A concrete set of tools for reading your own work with confidence, clarity, and intention — so the next time you step up to a microphone, your writing sounds as good out loud as it does on the page.

What to bring An excerpt from any work in progress — any genre, any stage. We'll use it.
